(EGJH) State testing time is coming! Attendance and punctuality are critical for students to succeed during testing. Please send your students to school well-rested and well-nourished. While we do not want the students to stress about the tests, we would like for them to practice and do their best. This year's testing is computer-based. 7th and 8th graders will be taking AASA writing, reading and math, while 8th Graders will also be taking AZSCI (science).

Spring Break - No School
Monday, March 16th - Friday March 20th
Have a safe and fun break!
Because of time constraints, not all students were able to fully complete their course selections during the session. Our administrative team will carefully review the requests students began and will complete the selection process to ensure every student is scheduled appropriately.
Families do not need to take any additional action at this time. If any questions come up as we review course requests, we will reach out directly. Student schedules will be posted in July.
Thank you for supporting your student as they begin thinking about their course selections. This is the first step in the scheduling process, and we appreciate your partnership.
We appreciate how thoughtful and responsible students were today as they began planning for their 8th grade year.

New Student Bus Scanner System
January 8, 2026
Dear Families of Bus Riders,
Tanque Verde Unified School District is pleased to announce that we are implementing BusRight Inc.’s student scanner system, a new technology designed to enhance student safety and improve communication with families.
This system uses student ID cards equipped with a barcode or RFID chip. When students board or exit the school bus, they simply scan their ID card using a tablet mounted on the bus. The scan records the time and location, allowing the District to accurately track ridership and ensure students are getting on and off the correct bus at the appropriate stops.
Families are encouraged to use the BusRight parent app that can provide real-time notifications when your child boards or exits the bus, as well as bus location updates. This added visibility helps families feel more informed and confident about their student’s transportation.
The BusRight system supports student safety, accountability, and operational efficiency while reducing manual record keeping for drivers.
More information regarding timelines, student ID cards, and app access will be shared as implementation moves forward.
If you have any questions, please contact the Transportation Department.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to improve student transportation services.
