Upcoming Bobcat Orientation Days
7th Grade: Wednesday, July 26th 8:00-11:30
8th Grade: Thursday, July 27th 8:00-11:30
The orientation days will be held on these two days separated by grade level and last name. Please do your best to arrive according to this schedule. In order to avoid creating long lines and wait times, it is important that you complete your annual back-to-school online registration and pay your student fees prior to attending one of these two days.
If you are unable to attend either orientation day you may pick up a student planner, locker assignment, and class schedule on Monday, July 31st between 8am and 11:30am. Please note, the scheduled orientation days are the only days the Emily Gray campus will be open for tours, to walk your student's schedule or access their locker, and receive additional information from the various departments represented during orientation.
Orientation Days will Consist of the Following…
Schedule pick up: Schedules will be available in ParentVUE/StudentVUE beginning Monday, July 17th. You may want to print out your student's schedule before orientation, this may be helpful on the school tour to assist with locating their classes as we walk the campus.
School Pictures: Interstate Studios will be taking school portraits, so come dressed school appropriate and prepared with a smile!
Hats, hoods, sunglasses, other head coverings, and accessories obstructing student faces will not be permitted in school photos
School Tours: Student Council will provide tours throughout the morning.
Locker & Lock Distribution: students will be given their locker number and their lock with the combination to practice prior to the first day of school. Lockers are assigned according to last name. Any issues with lockers or combinations may be directed to our office staff.
Chromebook Checkout: students will have the opportunity to check out a school Chromebook from the school library to use for the duration of the school year.
Athletics: Families may pick up information about sports offered and how to complete the athletic packet online.
Transportation: Find out about bus stops, bus routes and open enrollment stops.
Nurse: Hearing and Screening will take place in room 202. Nurse John will be available to answer questions or drop off prescriptions.
Student AASA State Test Score Sheets: Will be given to the parent/guardian.
CIMI/WDC Information: An information table with flyers and staff sponsors to answer questions will be available.
PTSG and Spirit Wear: The PTSG will be on hand to provide the opportunity to purchase Emily Gray Spirit Wear! To save yourself time, you may purchase Spirit Wear ahead of time via the PTSG online store (http://egjh-ptsg.square.site) and then pick them up at orientation.
